Yahoo boss Think BlackBerry Is Not a Smartphone?

Yahoo boss Think BlackBerry Is Not a Smartphone?   Several improvements were made by Research In Motion (RIM) onBlackBerry 10(BB 10) seems not to makeYahoo CEOinterested. In fact, in an interview,Marissa Mayersaid she asked her employees to“do not use” BlackBerry. “One of the most important part of Yahoo’s strategy is to move into mobile. So it is important for our employees, whoever it is to understand Android, iPhone, and Windows 8 is a trend in terms of providing an exceptional experience …, so we decided we ask all employees to upgrade their smartphone, “Mayer said as quoted from BGR, Thursday (11/29/2012). From the statement expressed byMarissa Mayer, it can be said interesting, becauseMayer did not mention BlackBerry as a deviceto be used by her employees. Through this statement, Mayer seemed to show that she considers theBlackBerry does not included in the smartphone category. In addition, several changes promised byRIMonBlackBerry 10does not seem to make Mayer attracted. In fact, in terms of security,BlackBerry 10has been certified by Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 from the National Institute of Standards and Technology some time ago. FIPS is one of the minimum requirements to allow the product to be used by government institutions and industry to collect, store, transfer, share and disseminate sensitive information. So, with that certification,BB10can be said to be superior in the security, and for government institutions do not have to worry about sensitive information stored onBB 10smartphones.
