Connecticut shooter Adam Lanza was “not well” – family

The shooter in the Connecticut killing Adam Lanza has been described as “mentally ill” by family friends.
Adam Lanza – Connecticut shooter A relative of the 20 year-old who killed at least 26 people including 20 children when he stormed Sandy Hook elementary school and sporadically opened fire has said he was “obviously not well”. Family friends in Newtown also described the young man as troubled and described his mother Nancy as very rigid. “[Adam] was not connected with the other kids,” said one friend. Late today, police said Nancy Lanza’s body was found in the family home. According to sources, Lanza shot his mother in the face, then left the house armed with at least two semi-automatic handguns and a semi-automatic rifle. State and federal authorities believe his mother may have once worked at the elementary school where Adam went on his deadly rampage, although she was not a teacher, according to relatives, perhaps a volunteer. As part of the investigation authorities searched the New Jersey apartment of Adam’s older brother Ryan in Hoboken, New Jersey. Police had initially identified Ryan as the killer, until he sent out a series of Facebook posts saying it wasn’t him and that he was at work all day. Sources told ABC News that Ryan, 24, works as a senior person in Ernst and Young’s tax practice in Manhattan. “He’s a tax guy and he is clean as a whistle,” a source familiar with his work said. Ryan has worked at the firm 4 years. Today the NYPD and FBI went to Ernst & Young and removed Ryan’s laptop and other possessions, which is part of the normal investigative process. Officials were interviewing Ryan and his father, but neither person was under any suspicion, multiple sources said.

ABACHA rule better than PDP Govt – As commentator sings an Ode to Abacha

I was captivated, awesomely arrested when i read with tear rolling down from my eyes as a Nigerian comment a an editorial by The Saturday Sun (online) Newspaper eulogies and sing the late dictator, Gen. Sanni Abacha and his tyrannical government. But are we to blame the commentator? Please read below his comment. THE COMMENT OF MY BITTERTRUTH UNEDITED “Oh Abacha may your soul rest in peace. Though, you had your own cut from the national cake, you provided us with security, dignity among nations, education without ASUU and NLC strike and many goodies. Our current leaders have stolen more than you did yet we have lost our dignity among nations, we now live in perpetual fear, education have collapsed, no electricity etc. See what Obasanjo, Babangida, and Abdusalam are doing to Nigerians. They continue to impose on us idiots as our leaders. They continue to recruit those that don’t have the interest of Nigeria at heart. Abacha, think of it, you would never have recruited people like Agangu, Okonjo Iweala, Sanusi, the petrol minister, Dasuki and all the so called half Nigerians in your government. You would have known that these people are bidding for the interest of the westerners where their investments and stolen money are stacked. Though, you are not a christian, but you would have known that “where a man lays his treasure, there is his heart” Dear Abacha, look at how Obasanjo and Babangida destroyed the military you built. They can not fish out a common kidnapper. Rather, they are paying ransom to free Okonjo’s mother. I remember how our military excelled in Liberia (ECOMOG). How you stopped us from participating in the nation’s cup in South Africa because you wanted to preserve our dignity. How you dealt with Cameroon over Bakassi. Now, all those things you and majority of Nigerians stood for are lost. My question to you is when are we going to have person like you again, to fight for the common people rather than fighting for Obasanjo, Babangida and their likes? My hero, sleep well as I weep for Nigeria.” ABACHA A HERO? Arguably, he could be a hero if you obliged with what the commentator said that Abacha’s regime, better than the current PDP led government. But remember my people, ‘The worst civil rule, is better than the best military’ Positive Change is all Nigerians yearns for. We all have witness the last 13years of the Peoples’ Democratic Party led government can offer. Obviously, we are not oblivion of of torments and hardship we have suffered. The conservatives has failed. They has no antidote to our overwhelming problems. Let have a taste of progressives. Change is cumbersome but inevitable...
